The Science Extension Mentoring Program offers NSW Year 12 students tailored support while undertaking the HSC Science Extension course. Through this program, students are matched with research mentors from the University of Sydney, who provide personalised guidance during the first six months of their science investigation.
Mentors help students by offering advice on:
The program matches students with mentors based on shared STEM interests and areas of expertise.
All mentoring interactions take place online (via email, video calls, or phone) under the supervision of the student’s teacher. Contact times are flexible and arranged to fit the schedules of the teacher, student, and mentor.
