Will you be a second, third or fourth year Faculty of Science student this next semester? Do you want to share your experiences and guide new science students through the excitement and challenges of first year? Apply to be a Science Student Mentor and grow your professional and leadership skills while supporting a small group of first year Science student in their transition to university.
The Science Undergraduate Peer Mentoring Program will run from Welcome Week, commencing Monday, 17th February 2025, through to week 6 of semester 1, 2025.By becoming a Science Peer Mentor, you'll have the opportunity to guide a group of mentees during Welcome Week and beyond. You'll foster connections and friendships and, most importantly, you'll play a crucial role in supporting new students during their transition into university life.
We need mentors across all disciplines in the faculty. To prepare you for your role, you will receive professional University-recognised training and career advice to build your teamwork, leadership, communication and mentoring skills.
By registering to be a Science Peer Mentor, you are indicating that you will attend the in-person Peer Mentor Training Day (week of 3 February 2025), and the Science Welcome Day during Welcome Week (week of 17 February 2025).
